The restoration of a building façade rarely stops at masonry cleaning and repair. Most forms of decay are triggered by water penetration which means that all aspects of weathering detail frequently need attention. This has led Stonewest to develop a comprehensive service for the repair of buildings ‘structural envelope’ taking on the role of Principal Contractor and managing all the ancillary trades. This has included on previous projects scaffolding, roofing, asphalting, leadwork, joinery repairs, redecoration, refurbishment and mechanical and electrical packages.
The Company operate a system of approved sub-contractors and Stonewest’s project processes and management systems are all designed to incorporate the demands of a Principal Contracting project role whether it in the management of the supply chain, commercial and risk management or Health, Safety and Environmental management.
