The works involved:
- Carried out internal works by removing, repairing, conserving and reinstating the zinc ceiling in the Round Room.
- The external pinnacle bases and finials were repaired and replaced where necessary using Portland Stone.
- Pinnacle bases were fixed to the finials using carbon fibre dowels. A drill bit was used and West System resin was squeezed into each hole before inserting the rod. Once the resin had dried sufficiently, the base was placed on to the cushion stone, with the rods setting into adjoining holes. A bed of lime and sand mix was then used between the two stones.
- Re-pointed all mortar joints to copings to the main parapet and repaired weathered stonework of parapet walls.
- Stitch repaired the short fractures in the stone roof, turret cornice and sub-turret features.
- Re-fixed lightning conductors in the South West Turret.
- Repaired slate roof coverings, lead sheeting and rainwater outlets at roof level.
- Altered and improved internal rainwater pipes and connected to existing drainage.
