Project Overview

The Shepherd’s Bush Palladium is a historic building in Shepherd’s Bush, originally built in 1910 as the Shepherd’s Bush Cinematograph Theatre.  The building had a number of owners over the years and finally stopped showing films in 1981.  After standing empty for some time, it was eventually converted into a pub and for many years was owned and operated by the Walkabout chain of Australasian themed bars.  In October 2013 the building was sold to a property developer and in 2019 it was largely demolished but retained the original 1920’s façade.

Key Successes

  • Utilisation of mobile 3D scanning equipment to record 90’ long Cinema rendered panel and other key features of the existing facades
  • Capture detail, sizes and profiles of the panel and features
  • Record in 3D detail to discharge Planner’s conditions and permit demolition to proceed
  • Record in 3D detail to allow faithful recreation of listed panel incorporated in new build structure
  • Take representative samples to allow material matching
