Case Study
We are honoured to have been entrusted to undertake a variety of projects for London’s iconic St Paul’s Cathedral. Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece is over 300 years old and Stonewest is proud to have contributed to its extensive programme of restoration works over the last two decades.
The projects detailed below, demonstrate the breadth of work that we have undertaken to all elevations of the Cathedral. In addition to cleaning, conservation and restoration works, we assisted the professional team with technical advice for the finalisation of the scope of works for each project. This service often included detailed research and analysis to identify original materials used in the construction of this magnificent building. Where these materials were no longer available, we sourced replacement materials or alternatives from the closest geological match, while always keeping conservation of the historical fabric as the primary objective.
As with all our projects, our trained craftspeople were carefully selected to ensure the
highest possible standard of workmanship, while showing the utmost care and respect
when conserving the historic fabric of this national treasure.
